Our services are a byproduct of our organizational structure and process. When you join OCNPN, you enter a culture and experience that aims to teach how an effective organization thrives through board involvement, committee/volunteer infrastructure and marketing/research development.

Committee Goal:
Curating and sharing resources that connect and elevate nonprofit professionals through social media. Exploring and vetting partnerships and vendors.
Type of Committee Members we are looking for:
Skills:
Individuals who are interested in gathering and sharing resources with other nonprofit professionals.
Pro-active to find and share resources and/or potential partnerships
Creative and able to generate new ideas and curate resources
Character:
Resourceful and out of box thinking
Eager to identify and gather resources and/or explore partnerships
Willingness to share resources with the nonprofit community
Commitment:
Attendance to monthly committee meetings (1 hour) and an additional 1-2 hours a month on position related tasks.
Passion:
Individuals who have a desire to build up emerging leaders through the practice of resource sharing and relationship building.
Types of Experiences waiting for you are:
Committee Secretary/Liaison
Take notes during committee meetings and share them with the committee following each meeting.
Send appropriate notes to other committees (i.e. events, marketing) as they relate to resource-sharing projects.
Social Media Calendar Keeper
Maintain the master calendar of resources to share on LinkedIn.

Identify and gather resources
Work with Social Media Calendar Keeper by maintaining a resource database

To deliver engaging and meaningful networking opportunities that provide resources and stories of professionals in the nonprofit sector.
To create a culture of intentional connection; a place where professionals are learning about one another to connect them with others within the network.
Type of Committee Members we are looking for:
Skills:
Individuals who are interested in expanding their skill set in event planning and in-person and virtual programming.
Character:
Outgoing and energetic personalities who aren’t afraid to get in front of the mic; as well as, behind the scenes and attention to detail.
Commitment:
Attendance to monthly committee meetings (1 hour), 1-2 hours a month on position related tasks, and quarterly events (2-3 hours).
Passion:
Individuals who have a love for networking and want to help create a culture of connecting people to help elevate nonprofit professionals’ careers.
Types of Experiences waiting for you are:
Committee Liaison
Take notes at every committee meeting with the purpose of informing other committees.
Relay appropriate notes to other committees as they relate to networking event needs and attend other committee meetings as deemed appropriate; i.e. marketing.
Registration Coordinator
Creating and managing event registration process; including reminder and thank you emails with post event survey; and preparing report out to committee members.
Preparing registration list and day of check-in and greeting process.
Logistics Leader
Identifying, securing and coordinating event location and communicating with necessary vendors.
For virtual events, preparing and managing Zoom logistics.
People Coordinator
Identifying and assigning roles and responsibilities for board members to assume at the event.
Welcome guest speakers, VIP’s, etc., and introduce them to appropriate event personnel.

To provide marketing and communications strategies to support and enhance the public and professional awareness of OCNPN.
Maintain online communications- social media presence, email communications, manage the website, and promoting events/programs, PR/media outreach and print materials

Creative, detail oriented, love to write and interact with our audience

Individuals who have a love for marketing, communications, social media- and want to create a strong connection to our nonprofit professional community.

Review Google website analytics and manage mass surveys of our audience
Compile data reports and give recommendations
“The Snapshot Seeker” (aka Photographer)
Capture OCNPN activities and posts to social media outlets.
“The #MediaMaster” (aka Social Media)
Creating content and content calendar, manage social media, and event recap
“The Partnership Communicator” (aka Public Relations)
Updates community calendars gather event information, files, announcements and submit to our listserv partners for marketing outreach and event promotion
The Website Wizard” (aka Website)
Keep backend website up-to-date, create and implement new website features that could be used as member benefits (discussion boards, podcasts, etc.).
“The Manager of Correspondence” (aka e-Newsletter):
Compile and publish monthly e-Newsletter, post-event communications, etc.
“The Creator of Pretty Things” (aka Graphic Design):
Design and create graphics to be used for social media posts, printed materials, website
